Behind the Words of Lila Greyling
I was born in June 1995, Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa. After finishing school, I wasn't ready for the world and I also didn't know how to approach being an adult.
I knew I didn't have a plan for living in South Africa; my mother didn't have enough money to give me an opportunity to go to university like all my friends so it seemed the only option was to get on a plane and jump into the deep end of adulthood half way around the world and move to live with my dad in Australia.
Through a lot of ups and downs, casual jobs and learning what I would like to achieve I am now living in Canberra, Australia creating my own path for the future.
Through all the challenges I have faced up to today, one thing has remained consistent being my pen and paper. When ever life takes over and starts to feel too much, I always have the opportunity to escape to a new world where life might be simpler to manage. Writing has kept me sane in this chaotic world we all find ourselves in and I would be honoured to create different escapes for different people to experience when they too need a moment to breath.
